Really we are just passing through life hoping
to put our thumbprint on the hearts of our children.
To stamp our corner of the world with our uniqueness.
We stuff envelopes full of legacy leaving advice,
acts of intentionality,
making memories that only God can cement on those little hearts
and impressionable, independent minds we've created.
So this week let's make the most of each day,
filling those envelopes with the warmth of support for the journey of those around us.
May our words speak blessing and courage for the ones still learning their way in this world.
Let's honor the heritage we have to offer
more than the inheritance we exhaust ourselves trying to earn.
And I PRAY we are diligent to
seal it all with prayer
both morning and evening.
This day depicted above is one way we have been intentional in celebrating the fact that this earth is our temporary home. Until the Lord calls each one of us home, we set aside one day a year to recognize we are just pilgrims passing through and our inheritance is in the Lord.
