What can one hold onto when tightness
squeezes out the very air I breathe?
So I release and I remember.
I remember that these hands,
when empty,
are open for opportunities
to serve,
to give,
to calm,
to hug,
and to hold.
I release so there is space for the filling of
another hand in mine,
the joy of lifting them high in worship,
receiving gifts,
holding beauty,
or wiping away tears.
I am reminded to be thankful through
the act of unclenching the hands.
The emptiness is filled with the fullness of life
and an overflowing of grace.
And for this I AM THANKFUL
Remember this week to live with hands wide open
taking hold of each moment,
making room for thanksgiving.
Blessings to you for the remainder of the week!
Love, Rachael
