Happy Thanksgiving week, friends!
May our encounters with others leave them feeling
like their life has been enriched just by talking with us.
May we receive well and be appreciative and grateful for the slightest gifts.
May we be aware of our limitations and conscious of our insufficiency.
In those may we grant grace for ourselves
turning from the self-hatred that only ensnares and isolates.
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for their God suffices,
in their limitations He is limitless,
in their thanks He is magnified.
It's our lives that are little and we have falsely inflated self, and in thanks we decrease and the world returns right. One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp
